Read MoreMy husband and I have rented cargo vans from Empire two times - to take our son to and from college (he has a lot of stuff.) Empire was the only place I could find that had a cargo van with seats for the three of us. They also offered the best price I could find in the NYC area for a cargo van, regardless of the number of seats. This time around I learned when I called to reserve the same van, that Empire was no longer renting out cargo vans with more than two seats. I was assured the first two times I called to check up on availability (I was told to check back) that all the other vans were out on long-term rentals because of the increase in delivery services due to Covid. The most amazing Empire employee, Marlene, worked with me to find a solution. What a life-saver! She was somehow able to secure us a somewhat smaller van that would accommodate three passengers and a lot of stuff. I highly recommend Empire for their customer-centric approach and their pricing. Todd GreeneYou know what I'm doing right now? I'm waiting for Kevin, the manager, to drive in on his day off and help me unlock the car I just left, because I stupidly locked my wallet in the car.
First of all, who actually knows the name of the manager of the place you rented the car from?
Second of all, this is all happening after my wife already told me that she planned on giving them a great review. She spend all day on Friday trying to find a rental for the weekend. Everyone was telling her it would cost $500-$700 dollars. And none of them had baby seats. This place has a seat that they didn't even charge for, and Kevin helped my wife install it and buckle it. I was a bit nervous knowing my wife and two kids were going to a strange, new location. So to find out that Kevin was so nice to them, well that was music to my ears.
And to top it all off, the car was nearly brand new, had only 4,600 miles, and was impeccably clean.
Five-hundred stars!
