How Holiday Outings Are Easier with a Van Rentals
When family and friends visit for the holidays, the guest list often grows faster than the car can handle. Empire Rent A Car offers passenger van rentals that keep everyone together, from the first pickup to the last night of sightseeing. These five outings show how one rental can turn a hectic visit into a trip everyone remembers.
Pick Up the Whole Crew in One Trip
Splitting a group of ten across three rideshares means three fares and three arrival times. A 12– or 15-passenger van brings everyone home together, luggage included. The visit starts with conversation instead of coordination.
Chase the Last of the Fall Color
Late fall visitors can often still find bright foliage a short drive north. State parks along the Hudson River offer scenic overlooks, apple orchards, and small towns made for a slow afternoon. Bring snacks and grab a pie from a farm stand.
Take In the Parade and the Windows
Thanksgiving week brings huge crowds for the famous parade and the kickoff of holiday shopping. Driving straight into the busiest blocks is rarely the smart move. Park outside the crowded core and walk the final stretch. The department store windows along Fifth Avenue are worth the stroll, especially after dark.
Tour the Neighborhood Light Displays
Some of the most popular holiday sights are entire neighborhoods covered in lights. These displays usually go up around Thanksgiving and draw visitors well into December. Seeing them from a warm van, with cocoa and room for the grandparents, beats waiting in the cold for a ride.
Bring Home a Fresh Christmas Tree
A trip to a tree farm is a tradition many families love sharing with visiting relatives. Getting a seven-foot fir home is the tricky part. A van keeps sap and needles off the roof of the family car, with plenty of space for wreaths and garland too.
Plan All Five Outings With One Rental
Holiday weeks are some of the busiest of the year, and larger vans tend to book first. Reserve a few weeks ahead to lock in the right size. Empire Rent A Car also offers minivan rentals, SUV rentals, and emergency rentals for travelers across Long Island, NY. Search rates or get an instant quote by calling (800) 750-8782.
