Choosing the right rental car for your next trip is almost as important as choosing your destination. Arriving in a busy city like New York and finding that the vehicle you’ve chosen is too big to fit into most of the parking spaces or on some of the roads could be disastrous. That’s why it’s important to plan ahead so you can match your rental vehicle with the type of trip you’re taking. Our team at Empire Rent A Car are experts at choosing the right cars for our customers. Read on to learn which car you should choose.
If you’re planning to visit a bustling city, look for a compact car that’s easy to drive. Of course, the size of the car will depend on the city you’re planning to visit. If you’re going to be navigating the narrow streets of New York, then you’ll need something very compact. However, if your destination doesn’t have small roads, then sedans and hatchbacks should be just fine.
When planning for a long road trip out of the city, an SUV or minivan is the right choice for you. Not only is an SUV or minivan a comfortable choice for long distances, they also come equipped with ample storage space for your luggage. Also, if you're traveling with friends or family, they will appreciate the extra legroom and on board entertainment options.
Finally, if you're planning a quick day trip and you don't need to worry about legroom or storage capacity, have a little fun with your car rental. Try a sports car or even a convertible for an unforgettable trip. You might even find you want to drive your sports car a little more during your trip. We recommend checking out what there is to see and do in the areas surrounding your destination city, as there could be incredible sightseeing just an hour away.
Choosing the right rental car for your trip is about choosing where you want to go and what you want to do. With a bit of research and planning, you can choose the perfect car rental for your trip. If you need help in choosing a car rental, contact Empire Rent A Car today at (800) 750-8782.
