Borrowing a buddy’s truck sounds great until you scratch the tailgate, spill mulch in the bed, or realize their version of “runs fine” includes a check engine light and no A/C. Whether you’re moving, hauling, or tackling a weekend DIY project, borrowing a truck always comes with risk. Instead, let Empire Rent A Car have your back with reliable pickup truck rentals. Here are five reasons why renting just makes more sense.
When you borrow a truck, you’re usually signing up for more than just the vehicle—you’re borrowing someone’s time, expectations, and potentially their Saturday afternoon. With a rental, you’re free to work on your own schedule, with no strings (or guilt) attached.
If we're being honest, most personal trucks aren’t detail-clean or perfectly tuned. However, our fleet is. Our trucks are regularly serviced, cleaned, and ready for whatever job you throw their way. You won’t have to worry about mystery stains or unreliable brakes.
Accidents happen, and if they happen in your friend’s truck, things can get awkward (and expensive) fast. Our rentals come with optional coverage that protects you and your wallet, so you can drive with confidence and focus on the task at hand.
Need a full-size bed? A crew cab? With a rental, you can choose exactly what you need. Borrowing limits you to what’s available, but with our fleet, you get the right truck for your specific job, not just whatever’s sitting in someone’s driveway.
You love your friends. Keep it that way. Nothing tests a friendship quite like damage, delays, or disagreements over borrowed vehicles. Renting a truck means keeping those friendships strong and drama-free.
In a city like Brooklyn, every minute and mile counts. Renting a pickup truck from Empire Rent A Car gives you the freedom to get the job done efficiently without the baggage of borrowing. While you're here, don’t forget we also offer midsize SUV rentals, 12-passenger vans, and 15-passenger vans for every occasion. Contact us at (718) 649-6600 for your instant quote. Let’s make hauling easy, affordable, and 100% on your terms.
