Packing up the family for a road trip? Before you squeeze into a cramped sedan or debate borrowing a friend’s car, consider a midsize SUV rental from Empire Rent A Car. Whether you’re heading out of Brooklyn for a weekend getaway or embarking on a cross-country adventure, a midsize SUV strikes the perfect balance between space, comfort, and affordability. Here are five reasons why it’s the ultimate choice for your next family road trip.
Long drives can feel endless if you’re stuck in a vehicle with limited legroom and stiff seats. Midsize SUVs offer generous space for both front and backseat passengers, so no one feels crammed in like a sardine. The elevated seating position also means better visibility for passengers and a smoother ride for drivers navigating everything from NYC traffic to scenic mountain roads.
Traveling with kids means bringing everything from suitcases to strollers, and a midsize SUV provides the cargo space you need. Many models feature fold-down rear seats, giving you even more flexibility for extra luggage, camping gear, or that cooler filled with road trip snacks. No more Tetris-style packing strategies—just load up and go!
Worried about gas mileage? Unlike full-size SUVs and minivans, midsize SUVs offer a solid balance of fuel efficiency and power. You’ll enjoy enough horsepower to cruise comfortably on highways and tackle winding roads without constantly stopping for gas. That means more money for experiences and less spent at the pump!
When you’re traveling with family, safety is non-negotiable. Midsize SUVs are packed with advanced safety features like lane departure warnings, blind-spot monitoring, and backup cameras—helping you feel secure on every stretch of your journey. Plus, many models come with infotainment systems, built-in navigation, and charging ports to keep everyone entertained and connected on the road.
Driving a midsize SUV is a breeze compared to larger vehicles. They handle more like a car than a truck, making parking in tight city spots and navigating unfamiliar roads easier. Whether you're heading to the Catskills or cruising to the Jersey Shore, you’ll appreciate the smooth ride and stress-free handling.
A midsize SUV is the ideal road trip companion, offering comfort, space, efficiency, and safety for your family adventures.
