NYC Attractions: Queens Museum

Queens is an NYC hub of cultural activity and diversity. Many NYC visitors like to explore the area to experience a wide array of art, food, music, and much more. If you’re looking for some Queens attractions, we at Empire Rent a Car recommend that you check out the Queens Museum. The Queens Museum celebrates all that Queens represents. The museum’s goal is to present “the highest quality visual arts and educational programming for people in the New York metropolitan area, and particularly for the residents of Queens, a uniquely diverse, ethnic, cultural, and international community” (Queens Museum website). Just what can you expect to find at the Queens Museum? You can visit long-term exhibits like the Panorama of the City of New York and the Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass. The museum also features rotating exhibits, where you can enjoy works by international artists as well as local leaders in their craft. Be sure to also check out the Queens Museum events calendar. The museum features a wide range of educational programming. You may be able to schedule your visit so your family can enjoy a kid-friendly art demonstration, or you may enjoy an evening of conversation with the museum’s curator. Admission to the Queens Museum costs $8 for adults and children 12 years and older, $4 for students and seniors, and free for children under age 12. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. For all your Queens and NYC travels, don’t forget to rent a car from Empire Rent a Car.
