If you’re looking to rent a van over a holiday weekend, there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind. Renting a van can be a great way to travel with a large group, but it’s important to make sure you choose the right rental company and vehicle. So, here are three things to consider when renting a van for a holiday weekend from Empire Rent A Car.
When renting a van on a holiday weekend, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, be aware of the pick-up and drop-off times. Many of our locations have extended hours on the weekends, but our holiday hours might change things. This can affect some of our services such as delivery drop-off and airport services. If there's any question, it's always best to check our locations for hours of operations during a holiday weekend.
As a company policy, we discourage drivers under the age of 25. While that's not to say someone with a valid driver's license can't operate the van, it just means there are fees associated with someone under the age requirements. For renters 18 to 21, we charge an additional $57 per day. Renters 22 to 24 pay an additional $20 per day. So, if you're traveling in a large group for a holiday weekend, having someone 25 and older will help keep rental costs low.
We have many locations across the area, but that doesn't mean our vans will always be available, especially during a holiday weekend. So, if you want to guarantee a van rental, make sure you book well in advance. This will ensure you have a rental, and your holiday weekend can go off without a hitch!
If you're coming to town for a holiday weekend, Empire Rent A Car wants to show you around! We'll gladly pick you up from the airport, hand over the keys, and let you be on your way to whatever special New York City event you have.
