The NY Hall of Science (NYSCI) opened in the mid-1960s as part of the World's Fair and has since grown into a renowned museum. At NYSCI, you can find more than 450 hands-on displays and exhibits that explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It's great for families, teachers, and social groups looking for interactive educational opportunities. Local school groups can also plan group visits to the museum or participate in one of NYSCI's community programs.
NYSCI is open daily, except for Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Admission prices range from $13 to $16, depending on your age and whether you qualify for special discounted rates. However, we recommend that you take advantage of their free admission days on Fridays from 2-5 p.m. and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
NYSCI is located in the New York borough of Queens. It's in the middle of Flushing Meadows Corona Park, not far from the Queens Museum. You can get there via subway, bus, or taxi, or if you got a rental car from us, you can park (for a fee) in the NYSCI's private lot. For detailed driving instructions from Brooklyn, Bronx, Long Island, or Manhattan, check out the NYSCI website.
