Customers of The Rental Company New York Car Rental are encouraged to enrol their youngest travel mates in the Wee Sprouts program (for children 18-23 months). This program gives kids an inclusive introduction to nature by taking a mini-nature walk and petting baby animals. The Fledglings program, for children ages 3-5 engages travelers in crafts, nature talks and outdoor exploration. Hours of operation
Customers of The Rental Company New York Car Rental can visit the Alley Pond Environmental Center September through June on Saturdays and Sundays. Saturday hours are from 9am to 4:30pm, and Sunday hours run from 9am to 3:30pm. During the months of July and August, the Center is open from 9am to 4:30 pm Monday through Saturday. Admission is always free to the park. Programs are normally offered free of charge as well, however some special events may require a small admission fee.

To get there from Manhattan, simply hop on the Midtown Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway. Continue until you see the Clearview Expressway exit. Take Clearview to the Northern Boulevard East exit, which you will continue down for approximately 3 miles. The Alley Pond Environmental Center is located just past the Cross Island Expressway on Northern.
